Laura lives in Skala Eressos, and is a qualified and experienced personal trainer with a special interest in martial arts. She runs L-FIT, a personal training and coaching business to help empower women and people from the LGBTQI+ community to feel confident and proud of who they are through fitness for the mind and body. For me, teaching kickboxing isn’t just a job; it’s a way for me to share the incredible benefits I’ve experienced. Whether it’s improving mental health, fitness, or overall well-being, I believe kickboxing has something to offer everyone. Witnessing the positive changes in people after a session gives me a sense of purpose. I’m a big self-defence advocate, and I believe everyone should feel confident in their ability to protect themselves, in particular women who might sometimes feel like they wouldn’t be able to protect themselves.

“I’m deeply passionate about this and for that reason, I regularly run kickboxing and self-defence workshops at the annual Sappho Women Festival every September. Regardless of nationality, ability, fitness level, age, or background, everyone is always welcome. The workshops focus on simple and effective techniques—quick to pick up and easy to remember. Empowering others with the knowledge of self-defence is immensely rewarding.”
