Well, we really couldn’t have a 25th anniversary celebration without the much-loved Stars now could we! We’re genuinely delighted and thrilled to announce that this towering, unapologetic, powerhouse of a woman will be gracing our stage one more time.

STARS is the front woman and lead singer of iconic Yorkshire band, BANG BANG ROMEO. The critically acclaimed “voice of a generation” and presence that is STARS, has been called up to tour the world with artists such as P!NK, Sting, Rag n Bone man, and Spandau Ballet to name but a few…

As well as opening legendary festivals and venues such as Isle of Wight Festival, Leeds & Reading, Wembley Stadium, Berlin Olympia Stadion and the world renowned Montreux Jazz festival in Switzerland following in the footsteps of Nina Simone and Prince, STARS and her band secured a Top 10 UK chart position with their debut album in 2019, with A Heartbreakers Guide To The Galaxy.

STARS is unapologetically proud of her identity as a “Plus Size Lesbian Woman” and has graced the cover of the UK’s largest LGBTQ magazine, Attitude, to talk about her coming out story and rollercoaster of a journey being a lesbian woman in a mining town and male dominated industry.

On her return to the festival, STARS says – “To return for the 25th year anniversary means so much to me. This is the place I fell even further in love with my community, the place I met and proposed to my beautiful fiancé, the place I found lifelong friends and managed to sport and semi-maintain a mediocre tan… The work the women’s festival does for our community is unchallenged, and it’s an honour to be back on one of my favourite stages in the world. Let’s sing, cry, dance and going f****ng nuts together, shall we?” Oh yes, we shall! ❤️

Our number one goal is to make everyone feel very much a part of the Flamingo family. We pride ourselves on our warm welcome, friendly staff, great food, extensive cocktail menu and of course, our fantastic location.

Climb just a few steps down from our wooden terrace and you’ll find yourself on the beach. Order some drinks and we’ll bring them down for you. We’ve even been known to swim out to sea with your orders so you can cool off in the crystal clear Aegean. 

Whether you’re popping by for an ice-cold drink or staying for some of our delicious food (our pizzas are world famous – almost!) we want you to feel completely relaxed and at home. 

During the festival, keep an eye on our programme, there’ll be a wide variety of events and activities for you to enjoy, from live concerts to quality international DJs, and much, much more. ALL are very welcome to join us.
