Ma. Gio (Μα. Γιώ) is a two-member street pop band from Mytilene, Lesvos, formed by Maria Kakaroni (guitar & vocals) and Giota Papachrysou (keyboard & vocals). Their name carries a playful double meaning: it combines the first syllables of their names — Ma. from Maria and Gio. from Giota — into a single identity that celebrates both friendship and shared artistry, while also echoing the Greek word μαγιό (bikini), a wink to their summery, carefree vibes.

Dedicated to “the songs we never want to forget,” Ma. Gio create a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere wherever they perform. With only guitar, keyboard, and two voices, they bring a fresh, intimate energy to familiar tunes, transforming streets, cafés, and small stages into spaces of connection and joy. Their music is simple yet resonant: warm harmonies, bright melodies, and a spirit of togetherness that invites everyone to sing along.

This special performance will take place at Passioni, the much-loved Italian restaurant in Skala Eressos known for its relaxed atmosphere, fabulous food, and lovely garden setting — perfect to enjoy Ma. Gio under the stars.
