Join your experienced guide, Dr. Rebecca, on this beautiful journey.
Â
The Route & Highlights:
Â
We’ll begin by cycling along picturesque riverbanks, past lush farmland and quiet residential areas. A short, steep climb will then lead us to the shores of a large reservoir – a beautiful artificial lake that serves as a haven for many resident and migratory birds. On its far side, you’ll see the impressive 16th-century, red-bricked Pithariou Monastery.
After partially retracing our route, we’ll head into the heart of The Kampos. As we cycle along charming dirt tracks, you’ll encounter donkeys, an abundance of fig and olive trees, and numerous immaculately kept small churches. Reaching the peak of our gentle ascent will reward you with magnificent panoramic views over Skala, the Acropolis of Eressos, the sparkling sea, Eressos Village, and the entire Kampos.
