Dearest Sappho Women festival family,
With the 2022 festival fast approaching (eeek, only 31 days to go!), it’s high time to spread some good news to you all.
First of all, we are overly excited to see that our village is nearly fully booked up, which means that you are all coming back to Skala Eressos again this year! Your support for our village, our festival and our local community is truly heartwarming. We’re very much looking forward to meeting you, our oldest friends, again this summer, whilst we will also be welcoming many newcomers this year! We fully trust that all of you will have a fabulous time together, yay!
As you’ll have noticed, we are currently working very hard on getting all the programme details online for you. Most of the workshops and local walks have now gone live, and whilst some will still follow, it needs to be said that we haven’t even started on the party programme yet! Because yes, in 2022 we will all be partying again! There is so much going on and there will be so much to do every day, it’s going to be amazing this September! A big reunion indeed!
Some of the things that we’ll be updating and adding on our programme in the next few days are: our opening night line-up, our movie selections, our boat trips (yes, we have a boat again this year, and it’s a beauty too!), our Eressos’ Got Talent Night details (please get in touch if you’d like to participate!), a number of performances still need to go online, and then of course there is still our entire two-week party schedule at the local women’s venues! We still have much to do, and there is but little time left before you’ll be arriving into town!
If you haven’t done so yet, please consider buying your wristband in advance. It saves us a lot of time organising this on the spot with you, and it also means that your funds are immediately used towards the expenses that we incur for hosting this event here in Skala Eressos. You can buy your wristband here:
For those of you who have asked us. We are currently looking into organising minibus transfers again, and we ask for a little more patience before we can give the green light on this. Those who have already been in contact about their transfers via Sappho Travel (firstname.lastname@example.org) will receive an email in the next two weeks with further details about changes in the transfer options that we can offer. If you are interested in joining a festival transfer, then please send your request via the above email address. We’ll do our best to make it happen again this year!
Lastly, there are currently no restrictions for travelers coming to Lesvos Island, other than wearing a mask during your flight, as well as your transfers (incl. taxi). Masks are not required at any of the local shops, restaurants and bars. Oh, and did I mention that we are also allowed to party again?! 🙂
Next update will be in about two weeks!
