As the Women’s Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary, we invite you to join us for a truly special hike – an ascent of Mount Olympus, the highest mountain on Lesvos! Through the years, many of you have joined our walks, and this year, we want to offer something exceptional: climbing the “peak of the island.”
The Journey & Scenery:
This lovely hike promises stunning panoramic views. Our track begins in Agiassos, a picturesque village nestled on Mount Olympus’ slopes. We’ll follow old, charming tracks, including sections of “kalderimi” (traditional stone-patterned paths). The route winds through beautiful forests of chestnut, walnut, pine, and wild fruit trees, offering welcome natural sun shelter along the way.
