Walking in Skala Eressos and surrounding area
Throughout the summer Patricia organises walks in the beautiful Kambos area, which is located in between the villages of Skala Eressos and the higher up village of Eressos.
The valley and the surroundings of Skala Eressos are full of history, mythology, botany and tradition, and during the festival Patricia will make sure you get to see this village, it's natural environment and it's wonderful landscape from up close.

Join us on our walks
Wednesdays & Thursdays: Psinia/Skala Eressos
This traditional route by Patricia takes you into the Psinia area behind Vigla Hill of Skala Eressos. You walk on a valley floor and are surrounded by a stunning amphitheatre of volcanic rock and mini mountains.
This is an excellent walking trail for beginners and those who wish to see more of Skala Eressos and the direct Kambos area behind the village.
Mondays & Tuesdays: Xliara/Eressos Village
This walk takes you around the area of Xliara and up to the village of Eressos. The route shows you the wealth in flaura and fauna that this area is known for.
By the time you reach the village of Eressos, everywhere you look you will see traditional houses, composed from rock and with lovely gardens with flowers. There is time to have a drink on the square of Eressos and for the return to Skala Eressos taxis are arranged.
Sundays: Andissa/Tsithra/Xidira
Located about 30km from Skala Eressos and spread on the slopes of a mountain you will find the small village of Andissa. It lies on a rocky, barren outcropping near a small pine forest.
Taxis will be used to go and come back. The walk itself takes you into an amazingly lush and green environment in this part of Lesvos Island. Beautiful scenery and plant- wildlife can be seen during the walk.
This is a 6 hour long walk and requires a fairly good condition. A light lunch in the picturesque square of Andissa is part of the program (not included in the price).
Some things to keep in mind
It's important to dress up well for the walks. Closed shoes, long trousers and hat are a must, as well as plenty of water along the way.
