Permaculture - Farm Tour & Dinner
This event is for women who are interested in growing food, and provides an opportunity to share knowledge skills and experiences of food growing techniques and practices.
The evening starts with a short guided walk to visit a new Permaculture site being farmed in Skala Eressos. Permaculture (permanent agriculture), is an agricultural philosophy based on working with rather than against nature, towards the harmonious integration of human beings and land.
Permaculture can be more natural to women than traditional less sustainable methods. Women are practiced at collaborating, forming teams, managing families and communities and motivating others.
They come to Permaculture interested in maximising the natural attributes of elements and climate. The force of Nature is intimate to women, and so are the realities of finding food and shelter.
After visiting the Permaculture site you will walk to the nearby Antiopi Hotel to enjoy sunset on the rooftop terrace while harvested food is cooked, and to eat and talk together.
